McLain Powell was born and raised in Northern Virginia, to a family full of performers. She is a triple threat with a passion for acting, musical theater, and dance. She received a BA in Acting from Pace University’s International Performance Ensemble. She has performed throughout the New York City and Washington DC areas, and even internationally in Bulgaria and Romania.
She has training in devising and has collaborated on a variety of projects. Her creativity also extends to writing. Mclain has written a short musical, Ripple Effect that debuted at 54 Below in Spring of 2018. She has extensive dance training, and grew up as a competitive dancer. She has had the opportunity to use her skills in many productions from A Chorus Line (Judy) to Pippin (Fastrada). Whether it be a play or musical, McLain is an energetic performer who loves a collaborative process and the power and joy that can be found in theater!
